On Monday, October 12, we will finish the introduction to macroeconomics and we will start discussing the concepts and measurement of GDP, National Income, and Inflation. Notes are up.
The average on the first exam was 86.9/110 (79.0%) and the standard deviation was 19.8. I estimated that version a was three points harder than version B and thus added three points to any student who took the former, up to a max of 120. here is a key to version A and a key to version B.
The average on the first required homework assignment was 11.6/13.0. Scores on available on Lyceum. Here are some samples of submissions that received perfect scores: Sample 1, Sample 2
Here is the second required homework assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to try it before the first exam on Monday, October 5. It is officially due at 4 PM on Friday, October 9.
